Herbie plumbing question- return line
What other ways should I go about securing the return line for the herbie method? I had an aqua remora skimmer that disconnected once so I'm semi paranoid about this. Maybe a metal clamp for the in take return. Anything else to make sure that this does not come off? The hose is 1" so it'll have some weight to it. I'll me pushed up as far as possible (the photo doesn't show that).

Anything metal (besides stainless steel or something treated)will oxidize, so avoid it at all cost.
I am setting mine up with a combo of ridgid/flexible PVC, I found that a 3/4" thread to slip adapter, fit the return outlet of my ehiem 1260. Planning to use a couple true unions and put a valve so it adds greater ability for any maintance or issues. Do a search and you can see a few others setup thier ehiem that way. |
