What is this???

ok what is this stuff growing on my base and live rock its growing on every thing is it good or bad ?? (atm i have a FOWLR 36g bow front)

Its hard to see from the picture. If you can touch it, try touching it to see if it's flexible. If it is then it might be some kind of sponge. There are a zillion species of sponges out there, most of them arnt terrible for our tanks. If it's harder, it could be some kind of feather duster or other kind of worm. Either way, it dosnt look like any typical pest.

yea its flexible and the pic was taken like 4 days ago and the stuff is like on every peice of LR in my tank except of some new pieces i have added recently....

Yeah I have that stuff usually grows in dark areas and underneath rocks . I think they are a variety of sponge, doesn't seem to bother anything in my tanks.

Looks like a hydroid. I heard they were bad but they have always been fine in my tanks

It looks like a variety of tunicate, a harmless filter feeder that grows in shaded areas of a tank and on the undersides of LR.

It will likely stay white. Some sponges come in nice colors, such as the neon-green mini variety.
