150G 48x24x30 ??

I have a 150G 48x24x30 from marineland (perfecto) with 1 corner overflow. The bulkheads are a 1" disscharge to sump and the return is also a 1" bulkhead. Does this seem right?

Yes, the holes are the same size for Marineland/Perfecto pre-drilled tanks. That's a nice tank.

Do you think i will have enough water flow to the sump with only 700gph ish?? I am setting up a 125g sump with refuge?? That is 700gph not including 4 power heads of coarse.

I wouldn't run a durso with this. I would do a Herbie and then you can have whatever return pump you want. I think a durso with a 1" bulk and 1.25" pipe can handle around 600GPH. So if your return is around that, you should be pretty balanced.

i would get 4 1400's for flow. i have the same tank and that is what i am running for circulation. i might honestly add another one or two. you should only have about 2.5-5 times your display volume going through your sump.

That's about 5X the tank volume, to feed a sump with skimmer and refugium, so, yes, that should be enough. Then, you'll have the power heads putting out a total of 4,200 gph for a grand total of 4,900 gph. That's about 30X tank volume. What do you want, Niagara Falls? .

For comparison, I have the standard Perfecto 150 with 2 overflows. I run a return pump with a 4 foot head gph of about 1100, plus 4 Koralia 750's, for a total of 4100 gph. Working fine for me, so far.

BTW, I use the standard Durso style drain system that comes standard with that tank. Quiet, good flow, easy maintenance. Herbie drains seem to be the current fad, especially with the DIY crowd that drill their own tanks, but I have found the standard drains with the pre-drilled tanks to be excellent. Here's a link to my build thread, with a discussion on Herbie drains thrown in there on page 2 that should help you understand what a Herbie drain is: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1853170
