75 gallon sps dominant what light
Need to go t5 so I was debating between the 8 bulb tek light, the 8 bulb catalina light or nova extreme.
Any input? |

I've heard excellent things about the powermodule, price is more than competitive.

Well I can get an 8 bulb tek light for 500 with bulbs... So if say that's a better price. And the catalina is 4 something

I'm running 6 bulbs over a 90G (overdriven a bit with the IceCap ballasts) and don't have SPS problems.

Of the choices you listed I would definitely go tek. ATI would be a better choose, but you shouldn't have a problem with SPS with an 8 bulb tek.

I say go with a ATI fixture, there is a T5 Q&A thread here that can give you more information if you read though it.

Great choice on the Sunpower... I didn't like my Catalina at all and for the price of the Tek you mind as well upgrade to ATI.
One thing I'd like to mention; those suggesting an eight-bulb fixture over a 75G aquarium most likely don't have personal experience doing so. Six bulbs (assuming quality bulbs like ATI/Giesemann) is plenty to keep SPS almost anywhere in the tank. Be sure to acclimate lower-light corals accordingly!
