My Tank

Tank started on August 24th. This is it today. I put a lot of hard work into this aquarium and I think its definately coming along. Since these pictures were taken (yesterday), I added a rack to keep young coral.

Wow, looks like you have invested a lot time and money in this tank. Looking good. What parameters are you testing for? Any thoughts about a sump or skimmer?

I test for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, and calcium. I bring my water into the LFS weekly as well to get more accurate readings (i was using strips for nitrites, nitrates, and pH). Everything seems to be stable. There has been no fluctuations after the tank cycled except maybe phosphate.

I have major thoughts about a sump and skimmer. When I bought this money pit, I thought everyone used regular overtheback filters haha. Now... I wish I would have researched. The only problem about geting a sump and skimmer right now is space.

I am glad you like the tank. More pictures on the way :P

And about the money, thing. I think if youre going to do it, do it right. I invested a lot now, but with the help of a freind of mine, whose a saltwater specialist at the LFS, am planning to frag and sell everything by the end of the year.

Curiousity killed the clown. You can see that this is when my phosphates were up. I use RO water instead of tap water now.
