Algae Issues.....or are they?? Almost embarassed to admit.
So I have my little solana at WORK....tank was doing amazing...was growing SPS in it, few little issues here and there nothing major. Then I switched out bulbs, and coraline algae stopped growing, RBTA started to almost die... then I got fish, and then I had the worse hair algae outbreak.
To make a long story short...I found out the problem.... My FRICKEN!!!!! light timer....can you believe it? Because the tank is at work, and because I usually leave before the light turns off, I was never there to see it turn off....turns out the timer was somehow stuck...it is located on the ground and my coworker puts her feet, there and I think she might have kicked a button by accident. Make a long story short, if you have a tank at work, make sure to set it to turn off before you leave... |
