lighting question :D

this place has been very helpfull

i have the aquatraders t5 lighting which i kno have gotten mixed reviews but so far its been working great. its the 4x54w 2 actinic 2 daylight. my question is what can i keep with this lighting ? i dont really want hard corals but i do want corals like frogspawn , polyps zoos etc. what can these lights keep ? the tank is a standard 90 gallon 24" high i believe

thanks rc

Just for the record...frogspawn is actually a hard coral, it is just covered by a soft mass that fills with water...it falls in the category of LPS or Large Polyp Stony corals, which is pretty much just a hobbyist term, because there isn't a well defined group...anyways, I think you could keep what you mentioned above with those lights, since it is a pretty tall tank, I would keep the frogspawn, and other slightly more light-demanding species a little higher up if you can...so it gets more intense light.

I would trade one of the actinics out for a 10K bulb. +1 on moving the frogspawn up

Yah, getting good bulbs will probably make a pretty big difference.
