AquaIllumination Sol LED... whats included?
I'm on the fence about ordering this light but is it just me or is it cheaper getting the module and controller separate.
The module is $530 and controller $75 = $605. But the "lighting system package" is $630. Is there something else in the "package"? From my point of view I can get 2 modules and the controller for about $1135 otherwise its $1170. I know its not much of a difference but just wondering about the discrepancy. I wish reefgeek was a little bit more precise on what in actually included. |

I just purchased this module and controller from Aqua Cave and got free shipping...plus I used the coupon code: CM241 and got 5% off entire order. Best deal I've found online.

Saw them in person the controller is cheesy but practical, the lights look legit, saving for them as we speak. Saw some Chinese Cree's that had a knob on the fixture those led's looked brighter than the AI ones but since Sanjay hasnt rated them no go for me. Plus the AI ones seem to be bright enough for what I need them for.

wickedfish: I've had my AI Sol Module for several months and I haven't turned my white LEDs up above 60% because at 60% they seem brighter than my 250w MH ever was. I'm trying not to bleach my coral. These lights are INTENSE!

Tidepool2 I'm at 82% white at max and 68% blue at max corals are growing like they havent in 4 months in the past 10 days, incredible. Especially the corals I have in the center, good buy, bad mounts and soso controller they can do better why would you leave your product only to be out done by another, (referring to profilux capitalizing on controlability and featured the ai module should come with standard, heck charge more whatever but it should be included.)

Do you guys both have sol blues? Tidepool, I notice your just tank description just says sols where as wickedfishs' says sol blues. I ask because I agre that these things are crazy intense and 2 whites per puck above 60% and my corals would need sunblock. Ya know, just keeping the comparison even, apples to apples.
