how much sand for 180?

how much "special grade" sand will i need to cover the bottom of my 180 with 1- 1 1/2"? and is this sand suitable for a pred tank?

Go to the reef central home page and on the left hand side click on the reef calculator option and you can find your answer.

My tank is 90 gallons. I used 1 bag of Caribsea Aragonite Reef Grade Sand (40 LB for less then $1 a pound) for a perfect 1 inch sandbed. I'm sure 2 bags will do you fine. I love the sand and the price. Picked it up at a Pet Supermarket.

+1 It will help you out on a good estimate. It will also depend on the sand you use if its very fine like sugar or larger grained.

+1 this helped me figure out how much sand I need for my jawfish! I didn't know about this calculator.
