Skimmer recommendations for a 120 gal

It's me again with yet another question... I'm in the market for a skimmer to go in a new 120 gal tank. I've found a Reef Octopus that says it's for up to 150 gal for about $200. Would this be a good deal? Would this be a good skimmer for my tank?

Any advice would be most appreciated as always. Thanks in advance.

Find out what model it is. I have a Oct-x 200 for my system (125g display + 29g sump + 29g fuge) which has 150 gallons of water and it works great. I'mglad I didn't get the smaller models. Jim

Look into a SWC 160 or a Bubble Magus Nac 7. Both are priced well and have heard great things about both of them.

You were probably looking at the octo 150 model and that's not quite big enough. I have this on my tank that is about 230 gallons w/sump and it's a little small for my system but it is an awesome skimmer. For $279 I don't know if you could do any better. I tested it against a octo extreme 200 and my skimmer worked quite a bit better.

Vertex IN180. I have this on my system and its skimming great. I now have 200g of water after I just added a 40g frag tank and working fine. Will be plenty for a 120g.

I am using an Octo 160 for my 110 with 40 sump. Excluding LR, sand and equipment I am slightly over 80g of water. It works very well and pull tons of stuff.
