Move large pipe organ
I have a pipe organ that is about the size of a large softball that has grown onto a large rock. I need to aquascape the tank again and move him. The rock he is on will not fit so well where I want to put the coral, so I want to remove the coral from that rock. Not sure how to go about this without damaging him. I would like to retain the size and shape, but not sure that is possible. What is the best way to remove a large pipe organ coral from a big piece of live rock?

Good Luck! they are very fragile. Chances are you will have a few pipe organ colonies and even more frags. All you can do is try, and be very careful. You can cut each calcerous pipe at the bottom with a sharp razor blade.
