job-less reffers
just wanted to see who out there has lost work , like myself. and how they are cutting reefing costs. i have started using bulkreefsupply and cut my lighting period down from 10 hrs to 8 hrs per day. the worst thing for me is when i get some money saved for things like salt or new bulbs ,,that is when something breaks like my return pump and the other items have to go on hold. sometimes i think about tearing down the whole system so i can save some money to do it right in the future,,but i would miss it to much ,,rather look at my run-down tank than look at no tank at all.

I went through this very same thing back in 2002 and made the decision to shut 'er down. With 3 young kids, I couldn't justify any additional unnecessary expense. However, when I landed on my feet, I went bigger and better.
It really comes down to your personal situation and finances.
