Mixing xenia?

Can I put a couple different varieties of xenia right next to eachother to kind of isolate all the xenia together or will two different varieties not play well together?

Thanks,
Dave in Lombard

xenia don't have stingers so you can put them near other corals, including different varieties of each.

LOL, that's why I'm trying to isolate it a bit. I've also moved pieces down to the sand surround by some rubble rock so I have a little something to give to people wanting something easy to grow or to sell through the LFS.

Speaking of selling through the LFS... my local store, Tropi-Quatics in Lombard will sell your stuff on consignment and you get 1/2 of what it sells for (they set the price). Is this typical or are there better deals around?

I had some white Xenia and Pink Xenia on the same rock and the pink completely overtook the rock, choking out the white. I now have only pink Xenia.

Check out other stores. They may just give you more in store credit per stalk depending on the demand. i get enough store credit for additives and water when i bring my xenia frags in.

You'd probably get more if you put it in Craigslist or listed it in the local reefers club. However, you then have the hassle of dealing with people.
