Question Need some info please

I have a new skimmer and found the hard way that anytime i lose power when the power comes back on the skimmer overflows into the sump. Is there any kind of breaker setup i can get that will not give the skimmer power after the event of a power loss?
Thanks all

It overflows because it sits in too deep of water?

If so get a single float ato from autotopoff.com or similar. Put it so it never shuts off under normal operating conditions. If the power turns off the sump fills and turns off the switch. When power comes back on the skimmer stays off until the water level has returned to normal.

Oh dang thank you for the info. I actually have an ato that has this feature and reading your post reminded me, lol. I have had the topoff for quite some time, just never used the outlet on it and forgot i had it. All i have to do now is figure out what outlet it is that shuts off (there are 3).
Again thank you
