Things you can us for a sump? - rubbermaid, etc
I have a 30 gal DT and I want to add a small sump so I can 1) get rid of my HOB skimmer and install an in-sump skimmer 2) hide the pump for my GFO/Carbon reactor 3) hide heater.
The problem is my stand has a center supporting brace that limits what I can fit inside it. I have an old 10 gal tank I was thinking would work but not sure if I can weasel it in. I've seen pics of people using rubbermaid containers and such as cheap DIY sumps, are there other tubs/bins you could use? And b/c I'm limited in size/volume I'd have to throw the skimmer, pumps, etc into the same area, won't have separated sections that are in a typical sump/fuge setup. Would that still work or is it a bad idea? |
