putting durso on CPR overflow
I have a CPR overflow that is really pretty noisy..it just has a downpipe with a plastic grill on top to stop large objects from going down. The overflow works very well and takes up very little space in the tank. The things I don't like is the necessity of keeping the suck-hole free of debris and the noise of the water returning to the sump.
Would it inhibit the waterflow if I were to make a durso type exit instead of the down tube with the plastic grill? the collection area where the drain is is pretty small, so I would have to build a very small durso, probably just a bend almost straight into the bulkhead (of course I'd use a pipe, but the bottom of the curved piece would almost be in the bulkhead). Does anyone see a problem with this? Thank you in advance
