I just used aragomax for a DSB in my fuge. I've heard good things about it, but then again I have heard just as good things about sugar sized oolite and aragomax in the fuge. I think they do hype it up as being the best thing ever, when it is about on par with regular reef sand. Try it out it can't hurt anything so you can report back with your results. What are the prices on the miracle mud? Is it the same lb. for lb. as reef sand? If its more expensive I might rethink using it as others have said its hyped up being a lot better than reef sand, but is pretty much on par with sand.

Most of that stuff is the crap that is left at the bottom of a large rubber maid that was full of curing live rock. Has no use IMO

I like a mixture of fine aragonite and this:
http://www.kentmarine.com/products/k...iosediment.htm
It is white and reflective and does not easily blow around the fuge the way mud does.
It has worked well for me and is a great media for macro algae to root in.
