Good Buy?
So, I've never had an RO/Di unit. I've been successfully using tap water for the past year and haven't had any immediate problems, but over the past couple months my tanks are just...gross. Normally I get a couple patches of HA or cyano and I just yank the suckers out when they bug me, but now I'm just sick of that. Time to take the plunge.
I finally got my first job (I'm 16) and have put away a couple hundred to blow on the tanks. I'd like to get a super easy unit to use and the cheaper the better, cash-wise. I found this. Its got some good reviews, should I grab it? Please answer soon, I'd like to put in the order for it tonight.

Looks good to me. If you need auto-shut off then you might look at the 5-stage, but it looks like a good basic system. I would go for it.

It's a good system. You should get a tds meter as well.

There's an optional auto shut off, install check, and float value I can add on for 25$ Should I add that one on too?
I have a person nearby who's gonna get me a TDS meter. =) Thank you guys for replying so quickly.

That will be great. I use a Spectra Pure RO with no DO and I have great water quality and no major algae problems. I also recommend getting a TDS meter. It lets you know when to changes out filters.

I just bought the 5stage ro/di plus system from BRS. I must say I love it. works as they say and it has a Dual TDS meter and a Guage. One thing I wish I had purchased but will purchase it later is a booser pump. My water pressure is between 40-45, and I have heard it works best at 55-65psi. If you have the money buy the best you can afford and the 5 stage is a good unit.

Couldn't afford the five stage. I just made the purchase though. ^.^ Love the feeling that new toy is coming in the mail, don't you?
Thanks for the help and input guys. =)
