Halide Fans- push, pull, or both?
So i tore apart my halide fixture to give it a good cleaning and I'm not sure how my fans go back in... it is a single 48" fixture, one piece reflector that lines the inside of the housing. there are two 250w halides and two 110w t10 actinics. one fan at each end with a glass bottom. should i have one fan push and one pull to create a constant wind flow through the fixture or both push cool air in, or both pull hot air out?
thanks! |

Face the fans in the same direction - one at each end. That way, one fan draws air into the canopy and the other fan at the opposite end draws air out of the canopy. That tends to work best for cooling.

what he said (cold air in one end, hot air out the other) however IF there's only one I prefer to evacuate heat rather than trying to cool off with fans.
