Very noisy pump
Hey,
I have recently purchased a Resun King 4 pump to be used as my closed loop pump. It's great value for money. Only problem is that when plumbed in line it makes an annoying rattling noise. What makes it worse is that the tank is in my bedroom and the noise is a bit too loud. It sounds as if it's a rattling impeller and I have found out myself (this is my second pump, broke the output on the original one by tightening a long ended male threaded socket a bit too much) and online that this noise is normal on these pumps. Just wanted to ask if anyone has similar experience and or could recommend method(s) to quieten the pump? Thanks. |

Sorry for the double post but I live in a country where the hobby isn't very well progressed, not due to inability but simple ignorance... And the availability of equipment here is limited (almost entirely) to chinese brands... So suggesting I go eheim etc... is not going to be of much use :-P
