Peanut worm comes to mind. Most hitchhiker worms are harmless detrivours. Remove it if your worried.

"just to be safe" let me say this. There are many, many, many species that enter our tanks as hitchhikers. Many of those species share common appearances. In my experience, there are only a few "troublesome" worms. The worm pictured does not resemble one of those, and in general, most worms on a whole tend to be benign.

I would not worry, but want to make it clear.....it is a calculated opinion that if it makes any help in the matter....some species are not identified to science yet that we may find as hitchhikers.

But yes, it looks "safe" to return.

I know about eunicid worms to be bad. But i think this one is carnivorous. because i put some food in the cup squid and nori and he ate the squid not the nori.

Worms are detrivores/scavengers for the most part. It's no surprise he ate the food you put in there. My bristleworms come out at night and eat algae wafers, my dead hermit crab, and any other food that's in there.
