Bristle Worm Bristles?
Are these bristle worm bristles in my gobies face? he has them all over his face. are they bad and will they go away on there own? i have never heard of a gobie going after bristle worms but he is a mean SOB

Yep. They'll be gone in about 2 days. He and the worm had a dispute about who owned the burrow. The worm came off worse, likely, unless he got into a deep hole.
If your fingers ever look like that, wash your hands in white vinegar, and then hold them under hot water. It stops the stinging. you may want to use latex examination gloves (at your supermarket) to prevent that. In general, the worms are beneficial and do a job nothing else can, but now and again, a fish has to learn the hard way.

If you're stupid like me and often neglect to use gloves while working in the tank, you'll end up with a handful of bristles at some point. Dab your skin piece of packing tape or duct tape to remove the bristles. Works very well.

thanks for the fast reply. i just saw my cleaner shrimp eating a part of the worm. i just added a pistol shrimp they paired up instantly and have been digging ever since

thanks for the advise i do have gloves but i just use them when fraging and doing water tests. i should definitely use them all the time now because i know there are a couple of big worms in there.

It's a pink-spotted watchman goby. Got one myself.

she cant get a job but she can teach me how to use a camera yeah its a pink spotted watchman gobie. cool looking fish but he is a little aggressive my female maroon clown is scared of him |
