Thoughts/Feedback on ATB 840 v2.0 before I buy?

Hello,

I am ready to buy an ATB 840 v2.0 tomorrow, but before I do, I'd like to hear if anyone has any feedback on it? Things I should know? Seems the new pump is more reliable. I have seen one in action, not the v2.0, and they are awesome!

I can order it tomorrow for about $520 shipped. Anyone know where I could get one cheaper?

Should I do it?

Thanks!

Awesome skimmers, I have heard nothing but great things about these skimmers. $520.00 is a great price, I've never seen them below $600.00.

Go for it Cody.

The 1040 is too big... it wont fit in my sump compartment. Don't really want to run two pumps. Thanks for the offer tho.

I ordered it last night!

Cody the Swabies are great, but my advice is to send your new skimmer lid to them as the lid fits better, looks nicer, and cost a little less as well. I had them modify the lid of my alpha 250 and it looks great. You can use a plate as a temp lid. On a second note the price sounds great, but what about the Christmas party raffle? Or has your luck run out?

Hey Scott! He's alive!

Annette is going to call the company today for me and order me one. Thanks for the heads up on customizing the lid.

You wish, get in line Scott. I was born lucky! I'll be there with my raffle game face! I've got a whole second bedroom that has plenty of room for extra equipment!

Sorry to derail Cody

congrats on the skimmer now you can sell the one you win at the Christmas party. As far as the Baja 1000 goes we had some problems, but made it too the finish line. Maybe better luck next year?
