Feeling Relaxed about BTA

So, I purchased a beautiful GBTA about 2 weeks ago. It was very healthy and I took my time acclimating it. After it was in the tank it moved around (maybe about a total of 8") for the first week. It actually ended up about 2" from where I initially set it. Wedged itself into a tight crack between two rocks in the lower portion of the tank.

It was making me a bit nervous at first because I was not aware how much they can deflate. I have tried feeding it two times before this evening, but it had no interest whatsoever. Tonight when I tried to feed it a small piece of a sea scallop, it readily devoured it. Very awesome and cool to watch!

My clone shows no interest in it, but that's alright. I'd rather it grow and get comfortable before it gets harassed. The clone has no issue biting the crap out of me (it hurts at times) when I put my hand in the tank for misc. tasks.

How often do anemones deflate? Mine used to deflate about everyday and now its more of a every other day sort of thing.

Are you referring to them getting a bit smaller when the lights are off? Or true deflating? It has been years since I kept any BTA's (( E Quadricolor )), but when I did they would only deflate maybe once a month. IMO, every other day is too often.

What size tank?
What lights? (( did you acclimate it to your lights? ))
How long has your tank been set up?
What are your water parameters -- with numbers?
