JBJ Viper 150 Clamp On Lighting

I am looking to do 2 of these on my 48x24x10 frag tank. Anyone have any experience with these and how well they work? With 2 I think it will light it well enough and give me areas of high light and low light for the different frags.

i have the 150wt coralifes similare they work well but i like hanging 250wt se bulbs better

I have the same tank with 1 in the center. I mostly keep rose Bulbs but You will need to keep SPS directly under the light on a rack. Most softies, Zoos, mushrooms will do fine as long as the light is high enough to disperse the light. 2 would be better on a 48"L tank IMO.

I tried one a Viper for frag grow out and gave up. The PAR was pitiful. I agree with a 250 SE pendant. I would go with a 10K XM bulb. Fantastic light for SPS growth.

so even with the tank only being 10" deep you dont think a 150w mh will give a high enough par?
