tunze 9011 skimmer, problems with bubbles

Hi!

Yesterday i bought a tunze 9011 to my 92g tank.
The skimmer stand exactly with water upp to the markning line on the skimmer.

The long pipe stand right under waterline in the tank, I wonder how mutch water it could come out of the waterpipe of the skimmer, its looks like it came just a little bit water out of the pipe just like flows slowly out, it dont flow over the top of water although it is entirely up to the surface.

I have small bubbles in my tank after i use tunze, its came bubbles out of the bottom of skimmer, and litte out of the pipe but on pipe i have a bubblecatcher filter.

My english suck and i hope someone understands

If you have water to the marked line, you do not need to use the pipe. There should be a very slow flow from the pipe. But if the water is above the pipe the skimmer will not function well. The pipe should be removed and use the directions for intank skimmer without pipe. It will produce some bubbles, especially when new.

We removed the pipe and replaced it with the cover.
And inside the cover with the rills, we placed the second cover (nr 9 in the photo) that we got with the skimmer.

So the suction is right on the pump inside..

But in the manual it says nothing about the second cover?
If we dont have the second cover its wery little flow at the bottom.

And when we use the second cover its a little leakage at the top of the skimmer. As u can se on the photo right above the tunze mark.
But if we screw the screw in, then ca 3 turns out it dosnt leak.

So is it right to use the second cover or not?

Hope you understand what i mean?

Thanx

The leak means the water is too high in the skimmer if you use this connector piece circled on the manual, with the installation you have you should have no pipe, and the cap for the pipe also removed, (only a hole). You should also have the bottom piece with the slots and it should be fine. This installation is not in the manual but it is what we use with our Compact Kit 16. Because the water level is high it works. You can also leave out this connector piece between the front cover and pump and use the cap on the hole, this reduces the performance a very small amount.

Thanks for good answer.

We tryed bouth metods that you said, but when we do that, the waterflow goes mutch slowlyer out of both hols.
When we used the connector pies to the pump, we get good flow out at the bottom hole.
When we remove the connector to the pump then it flows slowley again.

We removed the cap now so we have a hole where the pipe should be, and a hole at the bottom, but the water run slower and im afraid that it wont come out enough water and we lose effect??
And its still small bubbles in the water? many it will go away in a few days?

In 2 weeks the bubbles will be about 50% less, after about a month there will not be very many.

Yes, this is true, the connector piece forces the water out of the hole, without the connector 20% of the water is recirculated in the skimmer and this reduces the performance a little, but also reduces the bubbles that escape. With the bottom cover with slots some water also exits the bottom so the pressure at the hole is less but the flow and performance is the same.
