What ATO Resovoir do you use?

I need ideas for ATO resovoirs that don't require much room? Any pics or suggestions would be great.

How many gallons are you looking to hold?

I use a 16 gallon tall aquarium. It is the same footprint as a 10 gallon and it fits under my dt with the sump.

How much room do you have?

I’m similar to Konadog, but I wanted a bit more water volume. So I cut a hole in the top of the bucket and use a five gallon water jug that sits on top of the bucket. This now gives me ten gallons of water and still maintains the reservoir water level below the level of the sump, even though the total height is above the sump level. This eventually will go into a cabinet.

I bought a plastic storage container from wallyworld that holds about 7 gallons. It has lock down latches and is a tight enough seal for my kalk ato water. They have all sorts of sizes. What dimensions are you working with?

Go to Walmart, camping section.
Look for Drinking water containers. 5, 6 ,7 gallons containers.

5 Gallon is a tall narrow rectangle shape, 6 -7 gallon is box shape.
Best solution is to get a toms aqualifter and feed it thru the vest hole.

For space savings design, I would use a rectangular 5 gallon tank or the 5 gallon drinking water jugs.

I had a custom one built from a local glass/plexi company. They built it out of acrylic; though, after about a year it burst at the seams and flooded my stand with kalk water.

I just use a 2 gallon tuperwear cereal box container. I only have a 30g with half gallon evaporation so its plenty and fits neatly in the cabinet.

I’m using a 15 gallon open head drum from U.S. Plastics. They have a 13” X 16” footprint. The one on the left is for ATO and the other is for mixing salt.

I've got the 6. Nice and narrow for behind the tank.

I just purchased a 'Vitties Vault' from Petco- they are made for dog/cat food (food safe) and come in a variety of sizes/shapes. They have a wide screw-top lid which works great!
