2 holidays coming up: stores closing: is your tank ready?
Echoing this post here, just so's new folk think ahead:
DO NOT BE CAUGHT with stores closed! Be sure you have enough salt in house to make up new salt water should anything go wrong. Be sure you have a mixing pump in case you have to do it fast. Be sure you have polystyrene buckets---or garbage bags you can use for liner in a pinch. Check your tank chemistry now, and be sure you're spot-on: I really hate it when somebody posts they've had a problem, it's a holiday, and I have to tell them they need to do a huge water change ASAP or get something to qt. That's sad! Don't be the one this happens to, please! And if you're going out of town, write down a checklist and tick it off before you leave, to be sure you come back to a good situation. If you've asked someone to feed, it's a real good idea to have packets measured out, so they don't have to guess. And leave them a phone number!

And if you don't have an RO/DI and you buy water, go get some tomorrow.

Planning is the key, and will save a lot of headaches, especially around the holidays. Great reminders and tips!
