Octopus BH-1000 too much for a 30 gallon tank??
Hey everyone,
I bought a Reef Octopus BH-1000 a few days ago, and just got it into the tank tonight. It is rated up to 100 gallons, and has a 250gph pump. Do you think this skimmer is too much for my 30 gallon tank? I have about 40lbs of sand, 40lbs of rock, two clowns and a dragonet. And corals. Thanks!!! |

Probably ok, depends on feeding and bioload. I have found they ROs do very well when there is a heavy load. If lighter, they are more finicky.
