Has anyone any experience with these led's. Fosters smith has them for sale. Can they be any good?

For the right application. Depends on the tank size, shape, and critters being kept.

I use them to supplement a T5 HO fixture on a large tank. Very happy with the Stunner strips and Panorama modules. Stunners can be linked with one power supply (up to six I think).

I have the stunner strips as well, great little LED's. Primarily being used for night viewing.

+1 on the stunners. Using 3 of the blue modules on a 180 as dawn/dusk actinic. The panorama modules are more powerful and, on a shallow tank, will probably be useful as primary lighting.

So they could be used as primary lighting on a 20" cube? would I be able to keep sps towards the top with 5 or6 strips?

I have two 12w Panorama modules over an experimental nano tank for three months and they are growing SPS nicely with metallic colors. I have the lights 3 inches from the surface and they will bleach corals approx. six inches below the lights. They sustain growth of galaxia, frogspawn and chalices at the bottom of a 16" tank. I'm impressed by the lights for the money.

I have the 17.5" fixture on a 20" cube tank and I ended up adding an additional Panorama strip and additional stunner strip just to get the lighting to an adequate point for softies so I highly doubt SPS would do well.
Prior to adding the additional strips I was seeing the colors fade even in my Zoo's
