Choking Hazard?

My Elegance coral today ate a snail. One moment I was watching a snail clean the rock around the coral, and a few moments later I am watching the elegance coral uses its tentacles to shove the snail into its' mouth. Question, can the coral dissolve the shell, or will it spit it out? Do I need to watch for "choking issues" with the shell. When I feed my fish this coral usually snags a few mysis shrimp, so I know its not starving, I just didn't realize it would eat a snail. And I thought this was a reef safe coral

Has anyone ever had their elegance coral eat a snail or other unusual food item?

It will regurgitate what can't be eaten. Kinda like a two-year-old.
