Basically I have done a lot of reading and got all the info overloaded in my head now.. I need some feedback on the stuff i am going to do/purchase... Tank size : 150cm (L) x 60cm (W) x 40cm (H) Skimmer : Skimz SM202 Fludised Reactor : Skimz FM100 /or FM1500? Light set : 8 x 80W (6 blue, 2 purple, 1 white?) Giesemann bulb.

I really like the dimensions of the tank.
I'm not familiar with the Skimz brand, but looking through their website, the skimmer looks to be a good choice. Pulls a decent amount of air (could be better IMO), cone body, and bubble plate...not sure on the pump itself. I would assume the reactor will be just fine. If those products are readily available to you, and priced right, I don't see why they wouldn't work. The lighting depends largely on the setup. Reflectors? Ballast? Giessmann bulbs are good, I've used them in the past. I prefer ATI, but that's more of a personal preference thing. |
