Custom tank

Hello all,
so Im about to order a custom rimless tank. was hopping I could get some help from more experienced reefers

so lets start with first question, There is a LFS in my Area, which makes rimless tanks, been doing it for years, I have seen many of his tanks, looks awesome, price is half of the price of Miracles aquariums, which is close by as well ! what gives ? I really do not want to buy the cheap one to find out I missed out ... but again, cant not find any justifications why to pay double and get miracle to make it !! any Idea ? words of wisdom ?
I have thought about reliability, their ability to replace tank if the worse happens, and customer service and ... and they both seem to match !
any Ideas, advice is highly appreciated.

secondly, is the thickness of the glass ! are there are charts for this ? the dimensions are 56" long, 22"wide, 22 " high.

thirdly, how about the bottom ? should I ask them to temper it ? or should I ask for a thicker glass ? is 5/8" glass all around make good tank ?
