sedra=gen-x=vertex skimmer pump

ok well i decided to pull some pumps out to see if i had something my friend could use to replace his sedra 3500 which died on his ASM skimmer. well i have a submersible gen x 2400 pump and my pump from my vertex in100, well got to looking at the 2 and it is the exact same pump, impellers work in both pumps when switched, so i took both pumps to his house and pulled out his sedra 3500, and low and behold guess what is the exact same also, yes these 3 pumps are the same pump but no where near same price. so if you sedra goes out or your vertex skimmer pump save some $ and just get a gen x 2400 and switch out the needle wheel and volute, granted the sedra use's a different volute then the vertex skimmer and dont know which is better, funny how many companies use the same thing and just rebadge it
