250w 14k Phoenix vs. 20k Ushio (DE)
I've been running Phoenix 14k's for some time and I want to give the 20k Ushio a shot.
I prefer the deeper blue colors, which is my reason for wanting to try them. Can you provide your feedback in the color difference and your preference? Very much appreciate your input. 0scar M.

By the way I'm a big fan of the Radium 20k. It's too bad they don't make it in 250w DE.

Maybe one day Radium will see all the desire on the boards for a 250W DE bulb and finally make one. For the life of me, I have no idea why they don't.

I have personally used both the 20K Ushio & 14K Phoenix lamps and IMO the Phoenix is hands down a superior lamp in regards to color...
I found the Ushio to be an oversaturated blue and not very crisp...kinda dull the Phoenix lamp is just so much nicer... like a beautiful crisp white lamp with actinic supplementation... |

Cet98,
That's exactly what I'm looking for. Someone who has had both and has a preference for one vs. the other. Thanks for the input, very valuable. From what you're saying I should just save my cash and stick w/ the Phoenix 14k. Thanks again. 0scar M.

I found the 250w DE 20k Ushoi to be on purple to pink side not a real crisp blue. Go with the Phoenix 14k. I really would like to see Radium make a DE 250w.

DiazE,
You have the right idea, I was hoping someone would post pics. I'm sure Sanjay has some somewhere.
