XP-E® 60 Watt CREE™ LED Aquarium Light, Anyone have one of these?

As the title says. Just curious as my LFS now carries this fixture and I couldn't find any info on here about them. Saw them in person the other day and they were pretty intense. They are dimmable and have a built-in fan. The fixture appears pretty well made and uses good components, plus the price seems very competitive when compared to AI. Anyone have any experience or PAR readings for this fixture?

I saw these and when both powered to max light out put it's not as bright as the AI. Even if the led are 3w. They way they have the led is pushed out. Only about 70% as bright as the AI in my imo.

Is it me I think all of the led lights these days are looking like homemade electric kits. The AI's at least look visual appealing. I am looking forward to things comming in led more and more this year.

Looking for more info On these and others as things get rolled out.

Tom at SoCal Tropical had these at CFM. Not the most appealing looking fixture. You could probably DIY much cheaper.

AI is Aqua Illumination.
Before i got my LED did a lot of research. Checked out vendors @ RAP and some LED some fellow reefers own. Also alot of DYI that look great. But i finally went with the AI light because honestly they look like they are ahead of them game right now. When i say this i mean in the PAR numbers and aesthetics. There are many people who do make DYI that look great. But i am also into the aesthetics that should look nice over the tank. No a box of circuit boards.

If you looking for a fixture, you might want to try the Vertex Illumina. There's a thread on the lighting forum and those look pretty sweet.

I like the boxy retro with the big red button look. Reminds me of Hamilton products.

Seriously, I'm liking the AI with the 70 degree optics.
