Coralife Aqualight Pro 150 watt color comparison.

I hope this may be of some use to others out there looking for the perfect bulb color for them. I've spent a lot of money on bulbs trying to find the right color and I have finally found it. Here are some picture comparisons to give you an idea of what color you will get with this fixture and different bulbs. I am running the stock ballasts.

Ushio 14k,000k

Phoenix 14,000k

Radium 20,000k

I just got the radiums but sps growth seems to be about the same under the phoenix and ushio. I should add that the Radiums haven't burned in yet but should give you some general idea.

I do like the Radiums, no word yet on the growth though. I got them from marinedepot.com. I think they were $89 each.

Thanks. Sadly there aren't any nice places around here. The Petco gets ORA pieces in sometimes so every now and then I'll find something I like in there. There is a LFS but it's not really worth going into most of the time and the owner there is a grouchy _____. They used to get nice stuff and the people there were helpful but it's hard to get anyone to even help you in there now. We have a local club started up if you're interested send me a pm and I'll send you the link to the forums. We have a meeting coming up on the 12th in Longview.

Is that just halides or actinics also. Just curious. I just bought that same fixture used with the phoenix 14ks and its going over a 75 gallon mixed reef. So thanks for the info.

Sorry I should have included that info. I have the 4x65 watt CF actinics running in all the pics. The difference with them off or on is minimal though.
