Question Illuminator Blue T5 28W 48" Light

My google searches have come up with nothing so I turn to RC for a possible answer.

Does anybody know where you can find this light? I tried looking at the light fixture which is a dual lamp setup but can't find a manufacturer's mark anywhere. In all of my searches online I can only find 54W 48" light bulbs but this bulb says it is only 28W.

There is also a sticker on the inside of the fixture that states 28W as well so I am not sure whether or not I can stick a bigger wattage bulb in there. The fixture itself is all black and curved on the top. It has a cord coming out the back on one side with 2 switches to control each bulb separately.

Just trying to find out some more information as to whether or not I can use a larger wattage bulb or if anybody knows where you can buy replacement bulbs for this particular fixture.

It is more than likely a Coralife fixture and it uses Normal Output ballasts, not High Output.

Therefore you are stuck with Normal Output T5 bulbs. They don't produce a ton of light and I don't know that I would try anything more than some mushrooms or really low light corals.

It would work great for a fish only or Non Photosynthetic tank.

Just search for 28w T5 bulbs. I found a few stores that sell them.

Yeah I had it in the back of my mind that the light fixture is a Coralife brand.

The light fixture is over a freshwater tank currently so I'm not really concerned about the amount of light since it won't be growing any corals.
