1500gph Overflow = overkill????

Would a 1500gph over flow box be to much for a 125gal with a 40gal sump?
Would a 9.5 mag be able to handle it? only about 3foot from sump to main?

Well, you always want your overflow to be able to handle more flow than your going to be pumping up into it, so thats actually a good pairing.

I have 2 1500gph kits (4 1-1/2" drains) on my 150g. Way overkill but never have to worry about a snail clogging the line.

I'm putting a 1500gph over flow on a 40gal frag tank. Redundancy will keep your floors dry.
