Considering closed loop, those with experience please respond
I currently have 4 x Tunze 6055's on a 7095 multicontroller in my 93g cube. The results are great and I really like this Tunze set-up, but the only reason I don't love it is because of the mass of wires and cables. I am working towards a clean, organized and functional workspace for all equipment and dealing with this mess of wires & cables is a bit of a headache...
Therefore, I am considering switching to a closed loop concealed within a rock & foam back wall. My application will require the use of an internal pump. At this point I have looked only into Quite One pumps and thier output. I wanted to post for feedback before I ran much further with the idea. I have never used a closed loop, so the following are a few areas I could use help with... -How do I determine what kind of flow I will acheive from each output on the closed loop? For reference sake, I am thinking two separate loops, each on 1 pump, and each loop will have 3-4 outputs. -I am pleased with the current flow from the 6055's, will I be able to achieve something close to this with a closed loop? -With the closed loop I would be reducing the number of occupied electrical outlets from 4 to 2 (and with a whole lot less wires) but the pumps will consume more wattage than the Tunzes so I have this to figure in... Do u think it will make a significant difference? That is all for now. If I am leaving anything out please feel free to chime in. Thanks for your time and attention.
