are your tunzes noisy?

I have 2 6100 that i just bought and are vibrating alot creating a lot of noise. My 2 6055 are silent as heck. These are the brown models. Just don't know if they are normally like this or the magnets arent sitting right. Thanks
DEREK

They should not be that noisy. The pumps may have some noise after a thorough cleaning for a couple days...have they been cleaned?

Things I would try.....Soak them in vinegar and clean them completely. Swap the impellers to see if the noise travels with them. There should be a bushing around each impeller well, you can carefully pry those out, and re-insert them turned 180 degrees.

Post in the Tunze froum or PM rvitko, the American Tunze rep, he will help you as well.

One bit that can vibrate with the mag mount is the bit of plastic that connects the mag mount to the pump. This should sit snugly in the mag mount (this might be an old design) but can be loose and noisy. I fixed it with superglue, but ask Tunze for a suggestion.
Other than that they are silent, esp. compared to my MP40 that sounds like a small motorbike and has done so for 18months......
