what is the difference between Eheim 1260 and Compact+?
I am tired of my Tunze 1073.040,it's making so much noise that
I can even hear it through floor in the basement right under the tank. Roger who is in Tunze USA is kind enough sending me a free impeller to try, but new impeller doesn't make any difference. So I may buy another return pump. I heard Eheim make a silient pump, but there are two different pumps, Unversial 1260 and compact+ 3000, so which one is the quiet one. I like pump as quiet as possible, I gave up the MP10 just for the noise. does anyone used both pump? thanks.

Bump. I too would like people's opinion.
There is much rave about the 1260. Any experience w/ the 3000 and it's flow control? |

I can tell you the 1260 is a solid pump. I have mine running as return pump for 4 years now and 0 issues with it. Regular cleaning in vinegar/water and it looks like it did on the 1st day i got it. It can be used as internal or external configuration. Only downside to this pump might be its size and i think the new compact pumps are updated models to be more efficient to keep competition going.

I would send the pump to Roger. They should be dead silent. I have the same tunze and a 1262. Both are real silent, The Tunze is a little more silent but not by much. I think i read that the Ehiem compacts were made by Eden or some other company for them. There was a post on here a while back about them. Im sure they will be a good unit also. Good luck

but no response, That's why I ask Roger for help. Roger is kind enough to send me a free impeller. I would send it back to Roger, but it's international shipping and shipping fee would cost more, and on the other hand, I don't have a spare pump to run my system if I send this pump out.

Weird, my friend has the tunze and the only difference we saw is the eheim handled head pressure slightly better, but both were dead silent.
I've had 7 eheims now, won't use anything else.
