any ideas for DIY live rock???
im looking to make some DIY pieces of live rock. i would appreciate tips, pictures, experiences etc. im leaning towards the 5:1 ratio of crushed coral to cement, it looks better lol. please give me a good walkthrough and possibly a good recipe. and i plan on making larger pieces like 15 pounds+.

For example the giant DIY rock thread was started by Travis around 2006. You would have to go back through multiple splits to find post #1. |

I used 1:2:2 cement, crushed coral, crushed oyster shells. I love it. It's light, water flows through it, and strong. I tried many different recipes, including additives like pasta, rock salt, etc, but I found these additives weakened the final product too much.
