$300: MRC-1 calcium reactor, regulator, PH monitor, and tank.
Regulator/tank have seen better days, but everything else is in great shape!

$75: PFO dual single ended 250watt magnetic ballast.

Oh good news! A guy on craigslist just said he'd mail me a check and as soon as it cleared he would send a "mover" and pick up my reactor.

Why are craigslist people so shady? oh well. Reactor and ballast are still for sale.

Its an automated message (or group of automated messages) sent to anyone selling something over a certain amount on craigslist anywhere in america.

They have a computer program send the messages 24/7. As soon as the program sees your post, you are emailed.
I can write the program, it takes about 1 hour to write, and would last forever.
They just sit back, and wait for you to send them your stuff free. They never even check their emails. Obviously never pay you.

The computer sends thousands out a day hoping that 1 person would fall for it.

That's kind of what I figured.

I told him I would just send it to him free of charge, so that way he wouldn't have to go through all the trouble of writing a bad check and screwing me over.
