Newbie with pics and qustions

I bought this tank used a while ago. I new to the hobby. I have a 200gl tank with 4 holes in 2 overflows. It is my understanding that 1"pvc gravity feed will flow 960gph while under pressure 2200gph. How do you achieve the turnover rate with 2 1" pipes while the other 2 are for return?
I have a 30 gl sump that came with the tank. Will this tank work? It seems people are using different sumps for the same size tank. My skimmer is a reef octopus psk 2500 that will set in the sump as well.
Tank is drilled for cls I dont plan on using as I would like to just use one pump.
Pump is a reeflo super dart gold.
I would like to have coral and fish.

really a nice set up, including the skimmer. The holes that are outside of the overflow look to be for a return. are you sure that the holes IN the overflow are for 1" pvc? Typically I see 1 1/4" standpipes, that would give you plenty of flow.

The bulkhead fittings that came with the tank are for 1" pipe. The bulkhead fits tight in the holes drilled. He used 1 1/4 standpipes but they are reduced down at bulkhead fittings.

Any thoughts on the size of sump?

i think you will be bine with two 1" drains...I run a 180g with a single 1 1/2" drain and don't have flow problems. your flow is going to depend on how fast your return pump puts water back into the display. Your drains should not have a problem keeping up...As far as your sump, if you can fit a good skimmer in there, and keep plenty of live rock in the display, and some in the sump, you should be fine, just make sure you run that sump at level that will not overflow if your pump dies

30 gal sum sounds very small for a 200 gal tank. I would be concerned of an overflow if you lost power.

The consensus from what Ive read is they will fail. And with the design of the cv it makes sense. i will not be using a cv.

Couldnt I just add another tank in series with the sump I have? Is there any reason I could not have 2 1 1/2" (?) pipes connecting this sump with another one?

You can bulkhead 2 sumps together, and use one as a fuge: the problem is, in a power-out, be sure how much water the display tank can/will drain down before it runs out of freeboard, whateveryoucallit, ie, a tank won't ALL drain, just a certain amount, and tanks differ. If the bulkhead connection is too small, and water can't move through fast enough, you could have a problem.

Anything you are bulkhead-connecting to anything should have 1) a screw cap available to close off that bulkhead at need, and 2) a way to disconnect that connection short of total mayhem: I didn't. My bulkheaded exterior pump jammed and I had to break down the entire fuge/sump to get a snail out of the pump. If I'd done it right, and will, at the next opportunity, I could have capped the bulkhead entry, disconnected a simple hose-connector to the pump, and been golden, but no, I screwed the pump directly into the bulkhead connector...and it has to be rotated to unscrew it.
