recent users of Taam Rio® Polario™ Turbine Dual Action Programmable Aqua Pump
I read the thread from '09 with the major complaints being noise and harsh transition on the flow switching for this unit. Does anyone have a more recent review to know if the prior problems have been fixed?

I have a 22ml. It is one of the worst products I have ever owned. It only worked for a couple days as it should have. I have sent it in to get looked at and it was sent back not working. Very slow customer service, hard to work with. I would avoid this pump.
If it worked as advertised, it would be a nice pump. The couple days it worked for me, I was semi pleased. The flow is really nice. To bad it doesnt last. Problems/complaints: Fan noise in controller. The fan is either making TONS of noise or is not even working. The pump "whines" when its running. It doesnt seem very loud, but the noise is the right frequency in that it carries through most the house. The pump is easily froze up by deposits. Very touchy. The controller is very flakey. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. No explantion for it. It might work for 10 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 seconds. It might not work for days. Very frustrating. |
