Buying RO/DI unit need advice
So I searched for days on my city's websites and I can't find if they use chloramine to treat the water. I called the numbers listed but of course it's government so no one ever answered. Should I buy the standard unit or the chloramine unit? If they don't use chloramine and I buy the unit for chloramine it shouldn't matter right?

Looks like the ABCWUA doesn't use chloramine, but that doesn't mean they won't use it to flush the system. A chloramine block is just another type of carbon filter, so there's no reason not to have one other than minimal cost.

Thanks I figured it might be better to get the chloramine version even if they don't use it right now. As you said they could use it to flush the system or could eventually use it permanently.

you could always add water conditioner if you don't want to get the chloramine block. most of them are just meant to get rid of chlorine and chloromines anyway.
