How many watts per gallon on SPS?
what is the average watts per gallon for SPS

it's really more about depth of the tank than the total volume and there are many other factors to consider (spectrum, reflectors, light type, etc.) so it's a really poor way to judge a light, but 3-5 watts/gallon is usually what you end up with MH and T5HO.

so 62 watts or a T5 (2x31 watt) light on a 12 gallon long (8 inches wide, 9 inches tall) would be sufficient?
