RARE Orange Banded Coral Shrimp
Hey Reefers,
Im kinda new at the froum thing but decided to give it a try. I recently came across a shrimp that looked to have the body of a banded coral shrimp. However it was solid orange. I know what some of you are thinking-Its probally a a gold (yellow) banded coral shrimp. Its not! Instead of having red and white claws, it was a solid bright orange color....I talked to one of the guys about it and he said the store had never seen anything like it before. The guys at the local fish store didnt know what it was....It was in a 90 gallon reef tank and thus wasn't for sale as it would be nearly impossible to catch it...If anyone has ever heard, saw, or even kept these shrimp, please tell me about them. I'd love to know their scientific name in the hopes of tracking one down. Thanks Billybloo |
