40 gallon breeder equipment

ALright, I am going to setup a 40 gallon breeder tank, sort of a frag system. I plan to put just a couple fish in here and some sexy shrimp, maybe a long spine urchin. Now for equipment. I have a 20long sump, and a mag 5 pump, I am going to have my tank drileld tomorrow and install an inky box. Now onto what lighting and skimmer should I use. Lighting I am looking at ATI t5's or DIY led kit. Not sure which to go with? As for skimmer, im lost there to, any recommendations would be appreciated!

SCW 120 or 160. I"d stay with T-5s. Just my 2 c. I run a scw160 and a Tek T-5 on my 40 breeder.

How about a 36 inch dual 150 watt sunpod? Would this be to much light?

no, that would work fine. I have a 2 x 175 and 2 x 39 fixture on my 58 gallon (same dims as 40 just a little taller). Its not too much light as long as you properly acclimate the corals.
